Wouldn’t it be nice to have one framework to organize all that feedback, reflection, ideation, coaching, planning (i.e. thinking and communicating about the past and future) that make you an effective leader?

As action-oriented beings, when we think about the past, we usually do so with the purpose of influencing something in the future.

Whatever model you’re currently using to organize your thoughts and communication about the future and/or past, you can more-or-less break it down into four core elements:

C – Context – Who, what, where, when, how, why

I – Intention – The outcome you intend to get

A – Action(s) – Actions to consider and take

O – Outcome(s) – What actually happens after you’ve taken action
